This year you've officially grown taller than grandma Debbie. And you wear bigger shoes than I do. Those were fun milestones for you! You also decided to try out longer hair for the first time your life. You like the idea of it but you can't handle how hot it makes you (which is why I never did it when you were younger). It looks good on you, but short hair has always fit your style.
You continue to love baseball and are very excited to be part of the Saints. And it turns out you continue to be a pretty great ball player. You were invited to join a national team and travel with them to Kentucky this summer. They said it's not only based on skill, but attitude and teamwork too. That's pretty awesome. I can't believe you're old enough for us to even consider something like that!
The switch to the new school didn't seem to phase you at all, in fact you might be having an even better time. You've made some great friends and continue to do well in school. You've started riding your bike to a couple friends' houses and thinking to invite people over more often to shoot hoops (or whatever). It's so cool that you have friends close enough to do that - you've got a pretty good set up right now.
I hope eleven is another great year for you. I love you and appreciate all the little things you do to show me you love me too. You're pretty great. : )
Love, mom.
